God’s Promises

I’d like to make this an ongoing post that I add to regularly. If you
want to add a verse of promise, post it as a comment, and I’ll add it to
the main entry.

God promises blessings to those who fear him.

How great is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who
fear you, which you bestow in the sight of men on those who take refuge
in you. In the shelter of your presence you hide them from the intrigues
of men; in your dwelling you keep them safe from accusing tongues. –
Psalm
31:19-20

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to
prosper you and not to harm you , plans to give you hope and a future –
Jeremiah
29:11

God promises strength

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your
God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my
righteous right hand. –
Isaiah
40:10

God promises confidence

Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with
shame. –
Psalm
34:5

God promises deliverance

The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he
delivers them. –
Psalm
34:7

The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous and his ears are attentive
to their cry; –
Psalm
34:15

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are
crushed in spirit. –
Psalm
34:18

God promises personal awareness of him

Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes
refuge in him. –
Psalm
34:8
