More Scams? WorldwideShoppingNetwork.com & wsnrewards.com

I recently was notified of some websites that operate very much like our beloved bpshoppingspree.com. The new websites (and I’m sure they aren’t the only ones out there) are:

WorldwideShoppingNetwork.com & wsnrewards.com

I have a WSN certificate. Anyone ever dealt with them? Are they legit? Products worth the high S&H fees? Please advise!

Yes, I’ve orderd from WSN rewards and it really does work. The products offered aren’t extensive, but what happens is you literally just pay for shipping, which is a reasonable price per item. The only catch is that you can only use the certificate once. So once you place an order using the ID number, that’s it.. You’ll receive your items relatively quickly. I used my certificate last year for a few simple Christmas presents and it worked out just fine- mostly everything came together in one box… and they sent me another certificate with my order.

i also received a certificate for a $1000 shopping spree from WSN rewards shopping from a time share promotion. I was given an original certificate and every time I tried to put in my certificate number a screen popped up saying my certificate was invalid. Called the time share people and they issued me a new certificate. Same problem. Emails were never answered. After punching random numbers I was able to speak to someone at WSN who reassured me they would email me another certificate number. Didn’t happen.

Well… my mother and I recently won a WSNreward’s certificate for $1,276.00 at the Nissan car dealership along w/ a 7 day and 3 day trip to FL, CA, VA, MO, and Hawaii, but it all seemed to good to be true. So I tried to get on the site today and my screen tells me Internet Explorer cannot display the page!!! Also I tried googling it and I came across a site that mentioned WSNrewards, but the feedback wasn’t too great. Some guy said that it was a bunch of worthless stuff he could purchase at the dollar store! All in all, I hope its not a scam.

I strongly feel it’s a bunch of worthless stuff that you can buy on any any decent shopping channel for just a buck or two more. Also you’ll have the back up guarantee from an established venue. I looked up th WSN shopping certificates on the web, and found lots of informations claiming these as outright scams. Go check them out yourself to find out and read the input from folks. Good luck, read and be aware.

Where did you find the reviews of other people who have received the gift certificate? also, when I click on “strat shopping” the site doesn’t seem to have much at all in any of the given categories, is this normal?

I recieved a card in the mail from a local automobile dealer it stated that I should scratch off the area to reveal a number and if it was the same as that on the reverse of the card I had won at the least a $75 gas card or as much as several thousand dollars.
After stopping in at the dealership they gave me another card and said yes I had won $1ooo.oo shopping spree from WSN rwards or worldwide shopping nwtwork.
However what I’ve read it seems that the only thing one has to do is pay shipping which as I’ve so far discovered is far and above the true shipping costs thus Im not winning anything in fact paying through the nose.
This coming through the mail if it is fraud is mail fraud and a Federal offense.
Has anyone sent their complaints to the FTC,FBI,USPS?
If so what were the results and who did you contact?

    What their web site states:
Each product has its own S,H &P fee. There is extensive consideration?which includes a?number of factors when determining the amount of S,H&P to charge for each product. These considerations include, but are not limited to, warehousing expenses, order processing, order assembly, unpacking and repacking of?multiple items, operating expenses, labor costs, utilities, business profit, business taxes, insurance, packaging materials, data management and postage costs and?our cost to obtain the item.

So the S, H, & P includes ‘our cost to obtain the item.’ This ultimately means the certificate is near worthless.

I received a form letter from a Kia dealership saying I was a “Grand Prize Winner!” of a $1423 shopping spree and also$1000 check for purchasing a car. I didn’t need a car, and figured it was probably some sort of ruse just to get people into the dealership, but I checked it out anyway. I had to wait in line behind three other “Grand Prize Winners!” to get my certificate. As soon as I read that you have to pay all shipping/etc, I figured it was probably cheap crap that’s not worth the cost to ship it. I was exactly right!
The part about the processing fees to cover all of their overhead, shipping and what THEY paid for the item is the funniest thing I’ve heard in a long time! I checked out the website to see what kind of garbage they were trying sell anyone gullible enough to buy them, and it really is dollar-store quality crap. Their list of CDs was hilarious!
So, I was bummed to find out I didn’t really win anything, but at least it was good for a laugh!!

I won my certificate at Saturn’s red tag event. It is crummy and cheap, I will not be ever going to buy a Saturn as the memory of this S&H scam will always come to mind when i hear “Saturn”

I got my certificate from trying to win free points for a certain app on facebook. Thought I was getting a good deal at first. The lady I talked to on the phone though, told me it was a target gift certificate and that the only catch was, was that I had to buy magazines as well..but made it sound so cheap..I got scammed and couldnt get out of it. Tried to look at the bright side of it and think that I was at least getting some free stuff…that site is worthless…they have hardly nothin, and yes the shipping costs are outrageous. If you get a gift certificate, dont bother with the site.

Been to the honda dealorship today and just so happened won a $1000 dollar shopping spree and also it just so happened my mother-in-law won the same thing and just a few feet away from us one of the dealors was explaining to another person that she won..what else! a $1000 shopping spree. Pretty fishy isn’t it. This outfits address is http://www.selectyourgifts.com from Riviera, Fl.

I went online and all the stuff is total garbage. I think even some of this stuff is outdated, like the cameras. Most people don’t buy 35mm cameras. I think it belittles any business when they make out like you will win the car but when really their intentions are so called free stuff. Those shopping websites aren’t out nothing. They buy this stuff by the boat load from China for practically nothing and make their money on shipping charges and ordering process fee’s of $5.00 per order. hmmmmmmm that is added to the shipping.

Just throw these things in the trash and don’t give your hard erned money to outfits like these. Go to Walmart or any discount store and you can find the same stuff for far less and no fees or shipping.

Hope eveyone is wiser to these foolish get rich quick companies.
